MILLER 3D ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING IN EAST AURORA, NY

Open House on September 16, 2015 to showcase the company’s capabilities in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies

East Aurora, NY – Miller 3D, a Division of A.W. Miller Technical Sales, Inc., announces the grand opening of the new division in East Aurora, NY, the area’s first dedicated distributor for sales, service and support of next generation 3D printing technology, including 3D metal printers. Miller 3D has partnered with industry-leader, 3D Systems of South Carolina, as a certified service reseller to offer the most advanced and comprehensive 3D digital design and fabrication solutions available today.

Often referred to as additive manufacturing, 3D printing is a rapidly evolving technology used in a growing number of industries such as manufacturing, architecture, medical and dental labs, universities and others for prototypes, models, R&D, and low volume production of components.

“The new Miller 3D division was formed to help our customers take advantage of the full potential of additive manufacturing technology,” said Bill Miller, president of parent company, A.W. Miller. “3D printing has become an integral part of many industries today, especially manufacturing, and we have the equipment experts, engineering personnel and service specialists to provide complete 3D solutions.”

Miller 3D invested nearly $1 million to outfit a new, dedicated 3D Printing Center within the A.W. Miller facility.  The investment includes personal, professional and production 3D printing systems, as well as software and scanners for sale and distribution.

Among highlights of Miller 3D offerings is 3D Systems’ ProX™ 300 Direct Metal Printing (DMP) technology for the production of metal parts, either for prototypes or finished parts. The DMP system at Miller 3D is the first production grade, 3D metal printer in the area available to offer R&D contract printing and process development services.

“We can assist customers in creating metal prototype parts, including complex components, on a contract basis,” said Matt Jones, Manager at Miller 3D. “Our goal is to show our customers how DMP technology can speed development times, create non-manufacturable geometry and complement the traditional manufacturing process.”

Miller 3D also offers Markforged continuous fiber 3D printer, the only system of its type in the world, used to create Nylon parts reinforced with Carbon Fiber, Fiber Glass, or Kevlar.

As part of the announcement, Miller 3D unveiled a new logo for the division.
